Leaving for Home

I got an unexpected call from Mom, telling me to go home. The decision itself was sudden, that I was actually confused on why would she call us back home after telling us beforehand that we would be staying at Grandma's house for 2 weeks.

Personally, I would be curious as to why would she send us back home so early, saying to us that we would be enjoying our vacation for about 2 weeks, and that we don't have to worry about them, even in reality that they would feel lonely at our provincial home. Of course, the reality would be the grim truth, so says the recent call. So, in compliance with the call, and on the fact that in a familiar saying that the family comes first, I had to pack my things up, including this Palm PC, the laptop, and even my PS2 entertainment system.

I know it's a sad reality to me, since my other cousins already left yesterday(I think. I haven't seen them around Grandma's household.), celebrating the New Year with their respective parents. I don't want to go already, yet I already felt selfish for doing this. So, I had to go and bid Grandma goodbye.

The trip back home was even peaceful, under the intense traffic we had to encounter on the way home, but it was worth the doze. I had to forget the fact of begging, since we agreed to the conditions that in our 2-week vacation, one week would be spent at Grandma's house, and the next week would be at our provincial home.

The stay at our home after the trip was boring, according to my sister, yet to me it was a mixture of calmness and boredom. I was quite happy to get away from the frantic atmosphere when we spent Christmas at Grandma's home, and I think the vacation itself was worth it.
