I won't go into the details of the 4-day trip. I'll just go over the finer points, that is, what went wrong.
- When it comes to road map directions, let's just say that cooperation isn't our strong point. Everyone (except my father, who's the driver) wants to be the navigator. Things went chaotic the moment we left the hotel.
- We have no shopping list. Just recommendations (via mobile phone) from our grandmother, and a reminder to buy souvenirs when we get back home. How's that bad? Well, my mother and sister wanted to see the interiors of every shopping mall we visit, and me and my dad end up tailing them and carrying their luggage and whatever things they buy along the mall exploration.
- My sister kept complaining how she she is, after being unevenfully infected by my father, who was sick the whole trip. Even her moods gets affected by the sickness, and she gets all moody while my parents (being ever so grateful they get to go out of the country) tolerate her mood swings.
- TV is crappy. There's even a channel showing naked girls, and we all knew how my mom is about these things. She turns off the TV the moment we (the boys) get even a quick glance (my dad looks like he's staring) as girls prance around naked, do the girl-to-girl kiss, and harass random men in the show with their drop dead gorgeous naked bodies.
